I came across an article yesterday where Noel Gallagher of Oasis basically declared music is dead.  Driven not by the band, but by industry cronies afraid of losing their job, he claims there are no bands that represent the middle class the way Oasis was able to in the 1990’s.

One line we did like was “I’d have eaten Bastille alive in an afternoon in the ’90s, one interview, destroyed, gone, never to be heard of again.”

But the Gallagher brothers are known for being a bit nuts, so I wondered if he was right and there is no more music now that the middle class can relate to.  I’ve pulled together some music from the 90’s 2000’s and now, that I believe was not controlled by the industry, but composed by bands that didn’t give a fuck.

While listening, enjoy the top eight photos we’ve discovered this week on Instagram below.

Happy Friday.
