This week we got @harold_jeffries, AKA Pat Fisher, Marketing and Social Media Director for @whereslloyd. Get a load of what keeps him moving on a very hot box of a truck all summer long and go visit him personally on the OG LLOYD mobile down at M&T on Main St any day.
When you’re on a 110 degree food truck with 3 other people confined to a 20 square foot area and 35 people in line, you need a few songs to keep you going. Some of these songs remind me of our first real summer with lloyd, battling with Teddy to make sure Nickleback never gets played on a lloyd truck ever again. It took us a couple months to wean Teddy off the sick vocal abilities of Chad Kroeger, but little by little we got him to listen to acceptable music.
The past 5 years have been nothing short of incredible; 4 trucks, a flourishing catering business & a restaurant on the way (coming soon!). The support we’ve received from people ALL over Buffalo, even to places like East Aurora, North Tonawanda, & Orchard Park has been incredible. We’ve got a great group of employees that allow us to pull off difficult services on a daily basis without a hitch! Pairing with the International Institute was the best decision we’ve ever made. The refugees we’ve hired have the work ethic of 12 men, the greatest attitudes we’ve ever witnessed & without them, lloyd wouldn’t be where it is today. Buffalo is a unique city & since it’s on the RISE, the food truck scene has been able to flourish.
