The people of Mexico and Puerto Rico still need our help. Whie the news cycle has moved on to the next outrafe, there is still suffering amongst our fellow citizens in Puerto Rico and our neighbors in Mexico. Buffalo’s charitable spirit knows no borders, but we also know how to have some fun and eat delicious food while giving to others. So please join Chef Victor Parra Gonzalez and Syrie Roman as we raise funds for Mexico and Puerto Rico with an evening dedicated to the notion of home. Some of Buffalo’s most talented chefs and artisans have assembled to serve guests delicious representations of their favorite food from childhood.

Additionally, Slow Food Buffalo will offer homey cooking lessons, Drambox will operate the cash bar, a silent auction** featuring unique and exciting items will be held, and live music will act as a fantastic backdrop to this tasty and fun-filled evening. Better yet, it’s all for a good cause!

All profits will be divided between two charities, World Central Kitchen working with Chef José Andrés in Puerto Rico and Topos de México in Mexico. Both organizations are doing important work in the providing the intense relief and aid required to assist these areas devastated by natural disaster.

The event will take place at Artisan Kitchens and Baths with support from Slow Food Buffalo, Casa Azul/ Las Puertas, Social Maven, and Nickel City Chef. We look forward to seeing you!

From Syrie Roman

“When I moved to Buffalo almost 8 years ago, almost instantly, I felt like this was a special place. This city has taken me as its own, it has allowed me to be the best person I can be, serve others, and live a life Im proud of. Puerto Rico is and will always be my home, my entire family is there and my fondest life memories remain there. I feel very fortunate to be able to call Buffalo home as well. With this event, I have the unique opportunity to make my heart whole by bringing together the two communities that I love. Puerto Rico and Buffalo, and Im forever thankful for all your support in making this happen.”

From Chef Victor Parra Gonzalez

“During the celebration of a meal around a table everyone becomes equal , the art of true hospitality balances the nationality to which you come from and offers a true and sincere gesture to those who you care to share a meal with.”
