PLAY/GROUND is a platform for site-specific installations by contemporary artists.

September 11 – 20, it’s back, people! If you were able to get out to Medina in the fall the last couple years and experience the excitement of a former high school taken over by the coolest immersive art party we’ve seen in years, you know what’s coming. Yes, this time more spread out and out-doors, but who cares. Art is art and we need it.

“We invite the experimental, immersive, and ambitious. In 2020, PLAY/GROUND will consist of public outdoor installations throughout Buffalo and the region including the Burchfield Penney Art Center, Explore and More Children’s Museum,  the Hotel Henry, Larkinville Square, UB Anderson Gallery and more.”

CALL FOR ARTISTS

“We’re inviting artists to submit proposals for outdoor installations at sites across the city of Buffalo and the region. We’re looking to represent the future we want to see through a diversity of projects, people, and ideas. Applications are due at midnight, July 28.”
