Friends, we have quite the weekend in store for you Rise wise. Today you’re jamming to the bands featured in tomorrow’s Allentown Fall Fest! Tomorrow, TOMORROW!
1 – If you wake up at the ass crack of dawn, you can catch the demo of Gates Hospital – Drew will be there, because he’s nuts. (Better bring a respirator.)
2 – If you prefer to sleep in and enjoy the finer things in life, come on down to Rise’s first organized Instameet – #BUFSTAMEET. At 11AM, we’ll gather at Delevan and Chapin, safely away from the ruins, and close enough to walk over to Forest Lawn’s Delaware Ave gate. (No drones, please.) Come meet your newest friends and take an incredible picture or 12.
3 – Elmwood Village PORCHFEST is having its fall edition. Our buddy Matt will be in attendance early in the day, but is hosting a few bands at his place at Elmwood and Bird, so get on down with the groovy tunes – BYOB.
4 – Finally, head south to Allentown. Heff will be pouring your beers at the corner of Allen and Franklin for FALL FEST from 3P to 7P. Speaking of which, let’s hear from the crew at Fall Fest.
On Saturday, October 3, 2014 The Allentown Association presents the Allentown Fall Festival, a day long event that celebrates the best of Buffalo with two music stages, local artisans, food, a beer tent, pony rides, pumpkin painting, muralists, and activities for the entire family all day long from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Music from Buffalo bands! A little Zydeco, a little Americana, some alternative folk, jazz standards and more will grace the two stages at the Allentown Fall Festival this year.
