Rise Feature Friday is evolving!

When we began gathering our favorite Instagrams each week back in 2014, we thought it would be fun to put it to music ourselves. We learned that a true variety of music from guest DJ’s would be better. Since asking Buffalo’s small businesses, non profits, artists and advocacy groups to take over our blog on Fridays and introduce you to the Instagram roundup themselves, we’ve compiled over 50 playlists. Looking for new music? You’ve got a year’s worth right here! Indie and classic, national and local.

Every time we gathered a new set of posts, we thought, “Damnit these are AWESOME shots. We gotta get out there and take something new and different ourselves!” And that’s exactly why we posted them on our blog and shared on social – to introduce you to new photographers, professional and amateur, and inspire you to find that perfect angle, start a conversation over a photo, and contribute to the #RiseBFLO community. Now, for three to four weeks at a time, this weekly roundup will be sponsored by a local business. We’ll continue to round up our favorite shots, and those that include #RiseBFLO will be entered to win awards from that sponsor.

From now until Friday May 13, this feed is brought to you by Revolution Indoor Cycling. Located in the city at Main and Lafayette and in Williamsville at Sheridan and Transit, Revolution features cycling and TRX as well as the friendliest workout community in WNY. Beginner or veteran, all are welcome to get sweaty with their team as summer approaches! This is going to be another record summer. And we want to experience it with you in your photos. New sponsors and giveaways will be revealed over the next few months. The posts that dive deeper into the stories of the local non profits, businesses, artists, events, and more will remain. Now, we’ll just be able to give them the extra set up and promotional time they deserve.
