Rubber meets the road on Hertel
They say to do what you love and love what you do. That motto couldn’t be truer for Jodi & Chris Drew, Hertel Avenue’s newest shop owners. Spoke & Dagger is built on the notion of merging tried, true and trusted products with locally-made goods while bolstering the growing motorcycle community of Buffalo. On the surface, this place is one of the best looking shops in the city – supplying riders and the riders-at-heart with a sleek, welcoming space to try on apparel and gear from brands like Brixton, Iron & Resin, Knox, Grifter, Lowbrow Customs, and Biltwell. When the open road thaws out, the Hertel shop will be used as a hub for Buffalo’s biker community, hosting frequent rides, tech nights and parties + events with the flexibility of a pop-up space for local craftsmen and women. Collaboration is paramount here, where they seek to create an environment for everyone to learn their bike, grow as a rider, and connect with people of similar passions.
