Why not celebrate our resilience – with an open bar?

We’re teaming up with Allentown Association to throw the 40th Anniversary Blizzard Ball on February 25! It will be at the beautiful Karpeles Manuscript Library on Porter Ave from 8P-12A. The idea is that Hey – It’s been 40 years since the Blizzard of ’77, widely perceived as a storm that kicked the city when it was already down. Yet here we are, building our city back up again. We’ve survived a lot of other storms too – one knocked down all the trees in the city, another buried South Buffalo and left the West Side and downtown dry as a bone. All of these storms usually include tales of huddling inside “grab a six pack” and endure. Why don’t we have a party instead?
This is a fundraiser for the Allentown Association who works to preserve the architectural integrity of the neighborhood, as well as the rich cultural assets that line the streets. We’ll have Buffalo Afrobeat Orchestra bringing down the house from 8-10 and DJ Natron taking over from 10-12. Open Bar and food from Allentown restaurants including Fat Bobs, Giacobbi’s and Cantina Loco.

Congrats Meg! Let’s DANCE!
Amazing photo capturing some candid humanity in Buffalo at the No Ban No Wall protest of over 2,000 people last weekend. That’s a whole lot of Buffalove for our neighbors. Tagging #RiseBFLO over the next three weeks could win you a pair of tickets to Allentown Blizzard Ball too!
But weren’t these pics dope as hell, too?
