When the weekend comes around, most of us are guilty of having the same plans: happy hour here, dinner there, Bills game.. somewhere. It’s time to change up the routine for once.

THE EXHIBIT: OCTOBER 12 – 14

Resource:Art is going outside the box. The fine art consultancy has curated and coordinated an art exhibit called PLAY/GROUND in the former Medina High School. Attendees are able to see and explore more than 2 dozen experiences over the course of next weekend. After reviewing artist applications from around the country and Canada, Resourse:Art selected 29 artists and artistic collaborations to carry out PLAY/GROUND. The exhibit has a focus on the experiential, immersive, and ambitious. Visitors can expect a range of amazing installations that have been months in the making, like a giant foam tree, beds of real plants, wall drawings and more.

So…. why is this in Medina? Resource:Art was approached by the developer who is in the process of converting the school into market rate apartments. “He wanted to create an impactful art event which would drive culture and visitors to his hometown of Medina, NY,” said Anna Kaplan of Resouce:Art and owner of Anna Kaplan Contemporary.

THE PARTY: OCTOBER 12
