The dance floor is calling

We’re back with another promo for the 40th Anniversary Blizzard Ball. You’re not going to want to miss Allentown Association’s party! Grab a suit or dress and gear up to enjoy the open bar featuring Lockhouse Distillery and Resurgence Brewing, food from local restaurants like Fat Bobs, Cantina Loco and Giacobbi’s and local music from Buffalo Afrobeat Orchestra and DJ Natron.

As the Saturday, February 25 date approaches quickly, people have been hitting up the ticket site to get theirs before they’re gone. You should too! Grab all your friends and celebrate the city’s resilience while supporting it’s local businesses and Allentown Associations efforts.

This party was actually started shortly after the Blizzard of ’77. Don’t believe us? Check out this article in the New York Times from 1984.

”When you finally got home,” Mrs. Lehmann said, ”you got to know your neighbors – you played games, you shared things. It’s a problem in the city – everyone runs off, not talking to each other. And that’s why we have the ball, to celebrate a new dimension of neighborliness.”

So we hope to see you on the dance floor next Saturday. In the meantime, there’s one more chance to win free tickets by tagging your best Instagrams with #RiseBFLO.

Congratulations to this week’s winner @seekaxiom!

Ryan has staged a really powerful shot here, taking advantage of the light and fog and finding a great rooftop. Well done. DM us for details on how to obtain your 2 free tickets to the Blizzard Ball!
