MOHAWK PLACE RISES AGAIN
When approached by Mohawk Place’s new owners and its recalled staff to throw a Halloween party to contribute to their much-anticipated reopening…. well we just couldn’t resist!

WHO IS ON STAGE?
We called up our old friends at Kurt & The Loders immediately. Sadly, they had broken up shortly after we saw them on stage in 2023, but for Mohawk Place? THEY ALL IMMEDIATELY AGREED TO REUNITE!!

‘No Fun Lo-fi’ on Elmwood has turned into a SCENE this summer, especially with their open table night for new DJ’s playing vinyl. Emerging from that growing dance party is Kevin Ross (DJ Giggle Giggle), whose high energy classics have sent the place into a frenzy when he drops the needle. Asked him to join up for the second half of the night, and he’s IN.

90s, MEET THE 2000s
We’re combining the decades because the 2000s are now also enshrined as the last decade of real cool shit. So pick any cultural reference from those TWENTY YEARS, and start building out that costume.

PRIZES – OF COURSE
$100 2nd best individual
$250 best individual

$150 2nd best group
$300 best group

DRINKS AND FOOD
Ticket price is DOWN from $60 in 2023 to $50 this year. Take that, inflation! Drinks (beer, wine, seltzers) are included in your ticket, and we’ll have pizza too.

PLEASE HELP THIS INDEPENDENT PARTY OUT
– We have NO corporate sponsor.
– We will NOT be spending any advertising dollars on Meta (Facebook, Instagram). We’ll post there, but they won’t receive a dime from this party. X? Never heard of it.
– We WILL underwrite with BTPM (WBFO) The Bridge, however. Because their NPR-affiliated, independent journalism is critical to our community’s future. Any amount we can give them is more power for the rest of us.

So please, help us sell this out by spreading the word yourself so that we don’t have to give more money to billionaires to make it happen.
