After this month’s Shamrock Run and Old First Ward Parade, 2018 is gearing up to be the year of the Ward! Sometimes, you need to have a party about spring to trick yourself into believing it’s actually here. On April 7th, Tod Kniazuk has got the beer, the food, and the music to get you thinking its 75 degrees and sunny.
After spending the night on the Silent Disco dance floor with us on Friday night, keep partying through the weekend just a couple blocks away.

On Saturday, April 7th, from 1P.M. to 9 P.M. Boom Days Buffalo will be taking over Old First Ward. Founded in 2001, the celebration welcomes the spring with the removal of the ice boom at the mouth of the Niagara River.
The event will start at one with family friendly activities, including the Buffalo Zoomobile and the Penn Dixie Fossil Park. All of these activities are free and open to public.
At five, the celebration will start to ramp up. The Barrel Factory and Gene McCarthy’s will host music as well as offer specials on food and drinks. Fireworks will round up the event at 8:30. The fireworks will be visible from Riverfront Park and all around the Old First Ward.
As the spring begins to warm the area up (hopefully), Boom Days Buffalo offers the perfect opportunity to wake up from the hibernation induced by winter.
